3 month baby photo ideas at home

Turquoise and gray necktie stickers for 3 months, 6 months, and one year

Hands, faces, and a little more lift. Put the month 3 sticker on a plain onesie and use the same window as last month.

What can a 3-month-old do in a photo?

The CDC doesn't have a 3-month checklist. Between its 2- and 4-month lists, babies go from holding their head up on their tummy to pushing up onto their elbows. By four months, the CDC says most babies look at their hands with interest and bring them to their mouth. Every baby is different, so photograph what yours does today. Both lists are on baby milestones month by month.

What are five setups at home?

  1. The hands. Kneel beside them on their back and frame their hands and chin.
  2. The tummy-time look-up. Get down to their eye level on a play mat. Stay close, and stop when they put their head down.
  3. The chest lift. Lie on your back with your baby on your chest. The AAP says babies lift their head to try to see your face. Have someone else take the photo.
  4. In a parent's arms. Hold them by the window, with their head supported.
  5. Next to month 2. Put last month's photo beside them, on the same blanket.

Tummy time is for babies who are awake and closely watched, the AAP says. If they get sleepy, put them on their back. Baby photo safety at home is the page to follow.

Where does the month 3 sticker go?

Press it on a clean, dry onesie, in the same spot as month 2. Peel it off when the photo is done. Monthly Onesie Stickers has one tie for each month, and how monthly stickers work compares our three sets.
